Have just been for a breath of fresh air down in Henley, spotting a surprising assortment of wildfowl down on the river. It was pretty chilly down near the water & everyone was well wrapped up.
The Egyptian Goose with golden eyes was attracting some attention. Apparently they are becoming more common in the UK, despite nesting in January in large holes in trees which limits their chances of survival.
Storm Doris had claimed a couple of large trees in the vicinity, but they were well on the way to being cleared by the time we passed through.
